This month was the planned ending date for the structural work by Ed Blaiklock. His work ended more abruptly when extensive rot, previously unseen, was discovered in major support timbers in the west wall and roof. He had other clients to get to so packed up and left. The current plan is for him to return in December to pick up where he left off ( assuming we have the money). Volunteer work will continue all summer. Projects done so far are patching the floor in the upstairs room (section 3) and building a viewing platform at the bottom of the stairs in the undercroft.
